The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) was charged with establishing a grant program to assist state, local and tribal governments with planning activities to support FirstNet, the nationwide public safety broadband network (NPSBN). Through its State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP), NTIA awarded nearly $117 million in grants to plan for the network. GOH assisted SLIGP Federal Program Officers (FPOs) with administering and managing the SLIGP 2.0 grant program, which is a second set of grant awards to help States continue NPSBN planning efforts. The scope of this contract effort includes full grant lifecycle support executing the merit review process, executing grant awards, administering and monitoring resulting awards, conducting ongoing outreach and technical assistance, setting up a data management tool to track and report on grant projects and the overall program, and closing out awards and the program office.
